A unique iron for heating hammer shanks for corrective hammer alignment. Low wattage does not scorch hammer shanks and does not require a rheostat. Quick and simple to use, and the 45 degree design makes the Shank Burner work equally well for grands, uprights, consoles and spinets and comes with a special holder to secure iron when hot.

DIRECTIONS:

Place the iron in the safety stand and plug in.

1. After the iron is hot (about a minute) it is ready for use.
2. Apply the tip to the hammer shank for 7 to 15 seconds, maintaining contact.
3. Gently twist the hammer in the direction you wish to correct for.
4. Ease off the twisting pressure and allow hammer to relax.
5. Note: If additional burning alignment is needed, the hammer shank will need less contact time with the tip.

WARNING – When plugged in, this tool becomes very hot. Always keep the tool in the safety stand when in use and immediately after use.
